Publishing and visibility

Two independent controls decide whether a listing appears on the storefront and whether guests can find it in search: its published state and its searchable flag. A draft listing is never visible, no matter what.

Every listing starts as a draft: it exists only in the console and never appears on the storefront. A draft can’t take real bookings on the public site.

Publishing takes it live. Open the listing and, from the header, click Publish. Reynt asks you to confirm — once you do, the listing goes online and becomes publicly reachable. A published listing shows a Visible badge; a draft shows Hidden.

You can only publish a listing that has passed its critical completeness checks. While any critical item is missing, the listing stays at the Draft readiness level and the Publish button is disabled — hovering it lists exactly what’s missing. The critical items are:

  • At least one image
  • A designated cover image
  • At least one price
  • An assigned owner (marketplace mode only)

Once those are in place the listing reaches Ready and you can publish. This is enforced on the server too, so there’s no way to push an incomplete listing live. Recommended and nice‑to‑have items don’t block publishing, but filling them in makes the storefront listing look complete.

To take a live listing offline, open it and click Unpublish from the header. It’s removed from the storefront immediately and its badge returns to Hidden. Existing bookings are unaffected. You can republish at any time (subject to the same readiness checks).

Publishing controls whether the listing exists on the storefront at all. Searchable — a switch on the Property Facts section — controls whether a published listing turns up in storefront search and filters. Turn it off to keep a listing reachable by direct link while hiding it from browse and search results; turn it on to include it. A listing shows a Searchable or Not searchable badge accordingly. There’s also a Featured flag on the same section for promoting a listing on the storefront.

A property you no longer rent out — an owner who left, a flat you sold — should be archived, not deleted. Open the listing and click Archive in the header.

An archived listing:

  • goes offline immediately (archiving unpublishes it for you)
  • disappears from your listing list, the calendar, the listing pickers in bookings and offers, search, your dashboard and your reports
  • still shows on every past booking and invoice that used it, so your history and your numbers stay intact
  • can be brought back at any time with Restore — which deliberately leaves it offline, so you can check its content before publishing it again

To see your archived properties, open the filters on the listings page and tick Archived listings. They replace the live ones for as long as the filter is on.

Reynt refuses to archive a listing while a stay on it is still running or upcoming, or while an open booking request offers it — you’d lose the property from your calendar while you still need it. Finish or cancel those first.

Deletion, in the Delete listing section of the detail view, is permanent and only possible for a listing that has never been booked or offered — a typo, a test, an abandoned draft.

The moment a listing has a booking or a booking request, Reynt refuses to delete it. This is deliberate: bookings and invoices read the property’s name and address from the listing itself, so deleting it would blank out your own records. Archive it instead.
