Inbox
The Inbox is your shared team inbox for guest communication. Every message — the automated emails Reynt sends and the human replies that come back — lives in one timeline, anchored to the booking or inquiry it’s about. Open it from Inbox in the main sidebar.
The conversation list
Section titled “The conversation list”The left sidebar lists conversations, newest activity first, with an unread dot and a status badge on each. Filter the list by:
- Status — open, pending, snoozed, or closed.
- Assignee — assigned to me, unassigned, or a specific teammate.
- Channel — email or contact form.
- Unread only.
Because message bodies are stored encrypted, the inbox filters rather than full-text searches; you can still filter on the plaintext subject.
The thread
Section titled “The thread”Select a conversation to open its timeline on the right. Guest and operator messages render as chat bubbles; the automated emails Reynt sent (booking confirmed, payment instructions, and so on) appear as compact system rows with a delivery badge. A Context panel links the conversation to its booking, request, or customer and shows the essentials (listing, dates, guests, total, payment status) so you can answer without leaving the page.
If a guest’s email included attachments, each message shows them with a Download button. Attachments are stored securely and downloaded through the console, never exposed as public links.
Replying
Section titled “Replying”Type your reply in the composer and press Send — it’s emailed to the guest in real time (the composer shows exactly which address it goes to). A reply is never held by the confirmation gate; that only applies to automatic mail.
The composer also gives you:
- Internal note — toggle this on to record a note on the conversation that is never sent to the guest, for your team only.
- Canned response — insert a reusable snippet (see below).
- Draft with AI and Polish — optional AI help that only fills the composer; you always review and send yourself. Drafting is grounded in the real booking, so it cites the actual dates and prices. See AI overview.
Reynt can also prepare (or send) replies on its own as soon as a guest writes in, rather than waiting for you to ask. That’s off by default — see AI replies to guests.
If a thread has no reply address (an anonymous contact-form message with no email captured), only internal notes can be added.
Inbound replies
Section titled “Inbound replies”For guest replies to thread back into the inbox, turn on Inbound email replies under Settings → Email delivery. When it’s on, outgoing customer emails carry a special Reynt reply address, so a guest simply hitting “reply” lands their message in the right conversation automatically. When it’s off, replies go to your normal reply-to address and are not captured here. This is covered in Notifications and email.
Assign, snooze, and resolve
Section titled “Assign, snooze, and resolve”Treat the inbox like a helpdesk:
- Assign a conversation to yourself or any teammate.
- Snooze it until later (tomorrow, in 3 days, next week, or a custom time) — it drops out of your open list and pops back when the time comes.
- Resolve to close it, Reopen to bring it back, and Mark unread to flag it for follow-up.
Automatic housekeeping
Section titled “Automatic housekeeping”The inbox keeps itself tidy so the open list stays about real work:
- Conversations that exist only to record automated notification emails start out closed — they never clutter the open queue, and a guest reply reopens them instantly.
- A nightly sweep closes stale threads you’re done with: pending threads with no activity for a while, and read booking threads that have been quiet since well after check-out. Unread threads are never auto-closed.
- You can turn the sweeps off, or tune the quiet periods, under Settings → Email delivery → Inbox.
Canned responses
Section titled “Canned responses”Reusable reply snippets live under Settings → Canned Responses. Create titled snippets there, then insert them into the composer with the Canned response picker. They’re inserted verbatim; use Draft with AI if you’d rather adapt a snippet to the specific guest.
Create a booking request from a message
Section titled “Create a booking request from a message”When a guest message is really a booking request, use Create booking request in the conversation’s Context panel. Reynt opens the booking request wizard in its inquiry-capture mode — name, email, and phone pre-filled from the contact, and the guest’s message dropped in as their customer wish text — and links the new request back to the conversation once created, so the inquiry and the resulting offer stay part of the same thread.
The notification bell
Section titled “The notification bell”The bell in the top bar summarises what needs attention across the console — new unread inbox conversations and emails waiting in the Mail Outbox — and links straight to each. The Inbox nav item also carries an unread count.
