iCal sync

If you list the same property on other platforms, iCal sync keeps their calendars and Reynt in step. Reynt can publish a listing’s availability as an iCal feed and subscribe to feeds from other platforms so their bookings block dates in Reynt. Both live on a listing’s External Calendars tab (Listings → [listing] → External Calendars).

Publish your calendar (outgoing)

The iCal Export section gives each listing a private feed URL you paste into a booking portal, a channel manager, or any calendar that reads iCal.

1. Click Generate Export URL. Export is off until you do this.
2. Click Copy URL and paste it into the other platform’s “import calendar” field.

The feed covers the next 365 days and includes confirmed bookings and every manual block. Regenerate URL issues a fresh link and breaks the old one (use it if a URL leaks); Disable Export turns the feed off entirely.

Subscribe to external calendars (incoming)

The External Calendars section pulls availability in from other platforms. Add as many feeds as you like:

1. Click Add Calendar.
2. Paste the iCal URL the other platform gives you.
3. Click Save.

Each feed appears in the list with its URL, type, last-sync time, and a status badge. Reynt refreshes every feed automatically once an hour — click Sync All to pull immediately. Imported bookings show up as blocked dates on the calendar in the External Calendar colour (purple), labelled with the event’s summary from the source. Reynt only learns that a date is taken — it never receives guest details from an external feed.

When a feed fails

Feeds break — a URL changes, a platform has an outage. Reynt handles this for you:

• A failing feed shows Last sync failed and is retried automatically with a growing delay (starting at ~15 minutes and backing off from there).
• If a feed keeps failing, Reynt stops retrying and marks it Paused to avoid hammering a dead URL. A clearly broken URL is paused after a few attempts; intermittent failures are retried for much longer first.
• Fix the URL (use Edit URL), then open the row’s menu and click Retry now — this re-syncs immediately and clears the failure state, resuming a paused feed.

You can also Pause and Resume a healthy feed yourself, or Delete it.

Spotting sync problems

You don’t have to open each listing to find broken feeds:

• The dashboard shows an alert when calendars are failing or have been disabled, with a Fix sync / View link straight to the affected listing (or the filtered list).
• The Listings page has a Calendar sync error filter that shows only listings with failing feeds. Dashboard links land you here pre-filtered.

Manual blocks vs synced blocks

Blocks imported from an external feed are managed entirely by the sync — they refresh on every run, so you can’t edit or remove them in Reynt. To clear one, remove it at the source platform. Your own manual blocks on the Unavailability tab are independent and removable any time.
