Customers

A customer is a guest — the person who made a booking or submitted an inquiry. Reynt keeps one profile per guest so their bookings, requests, invoices, payments, and conversations all hang together in one place.

Open Customers (under the People group in the sidebar) to see the list.

The list is a table with the customer’s reference, name, email, communication language, and when they were created. Click any row to open the customer’s detail page.

Most customers are created automatically the first time a guest books or sends an inquiry through the storefront. You can also add one by hand with New Customer — useful for phone or walk-in bookings you enter yourself.

The editor is split into sections:

  • Basic information — first and last name.
  • Contact — email and phone.
  • Address — street, city, region, ZIP, country.
  • Preferences — the communication Language and any Special requirements.
  • Notes — internal notes, visible only to your team.

Edit an existing customer from their detail page (Edit Customer) — the same editor, pre-filled.

The Language field is the guest’s preferred language. It is operator-visible and editable, and it drives which language Reynt uses when it emails that guest: the per-language template texts you set up on Settings → Notifications are selected by this language. Set it correctly and every booking mail, payment instruction, and confirmation reaches the guest in their own language.

The customer detail page shows their contact and address, a statistics strip (total, confirmed, and cancelled bookings, plus total spent), and their special requirements and internal notes.

Below that, four tabs collect everything linked to the customer:

  • Bookings — every booking, with reference, listing, period, total, and status.
  • Requests — booking requests and inquiries not yet published.
  • Invoices — invoices raised for this customer.
  • Payments — payments and refunds recorded against their bookings.

A booking or request is linked to a customer when you pick that customer while creating it, or when a guest checks out on the storefront and Reynt matches (or creates) their profile by email. Inbox conversations are linked the same way — a guest’s email reply threads back to the matching customer automatically. Once linked, the booking, its invoices, its payments, and its conversation all appear on the customer’s detail page and on the customer timeline in the Inbox.

Contact details are stored securely; only your team can see a customer’s notes and special requirements.
