Change a booking after confirmation — without breaking your books
Reynt now lets you modify confirmed bookings in place, with a credit note or supplementary invoice, a change-summary email to the guest, and full history.
Plans change. A guest wants to stay an extra night. The cleaning fee needs a tweak. A late arrival fee creeps in. Until now, handling any of that on a confirmed booking meant cancellations, refunds, and a manual patch in your accounting system. Not anymore.
In-place booking modification
You can now edit a confirmed booking directly:
- Change the dates without re-creating the booking
- Add, remove, or edit line items — cleaning fees, addons, extras
- Update guest details when something needs correcting
Reynt handles the financial side automatically. An issued invoice is never overwritten — we raise a separate document for exactly the difference and link it to the original: a credit note when the total drops, a supplementary invoice when something is added. Your books stay clean. Your guest sees a clear before/after.
Your guest stays in the loop
Whenever a booking changes, Reynt sends the guest a friendly “booking modified” email summarising what was updated and what they owe (or get back). The email uses the same brand styling, language, and template structure as your booking-confirmation email — so it feels like one continuous conversation, not a system notification.
A full change history on every booking
Every modification is recorded in an Änderungsverlauf (change history) card on the booking page. You can see who changed what, when, and why — useful for support conversations, audits, and just keeping yourself honest.
More to enjoy this release
A few other things landed alongside booking modification:
- Dashboard alerts. Your dashboard now has a dedicated card that surfaces items needing attention — pending bookings, offers ready to send, calendar feeds that stopped working. No more hunting through tabs.
- Pending bookings can hold dates. Toggle this on your storefront and a date range stays blocked while a booking is pending, so two guests can’t land on the same night while you decide.
- Re-activate previously sent offers. Change your mind? Bring an expired offer back to life with a click.
- Drafts from canceled bookings. Recover a canceled reservation into a fresh draft and pick up where you left off.
- iCal feeds that look after themselves. When an external calendar feed starts failing, Reynt backs off and eventually auto-disables it — instead of hammering the source and stalling sync everywhere else.
- Listing editor polish. Addons get a description field, the amenity click-to-add is clearer, large multi-file image uploads survive, and property type now accepts free-form values.
- Onboarding adds legal info + cancellation policy. Two of the most common “wait, where do I configure that?” moments are now required steps in the setup flow.
How to try it
